Redesigning the local church to reach the rising generations
The failure of the church to connect with the younger generations has been widely recognised. Recent research suggests that a groundswell of interest and openness to the Christian faith is here. But at RISE we would argue that the church is not ready to respond. Unless the local church experiences a radical shift of focus towards making disciples of young people, many of whom will have no background in the faith, we will be missing the great opportunity of our age.
We believe the future will look different. And now is the time to start building.
“Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin. Pour out your hearts like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him, for the lives of your children, who are faint from hunger on the corner of every street.”
